This brings me to about two weeks ago when I was dropping the twins off at school one morning and to a very proud mommy moment. As we all know, Myles has struggled academically for the past year and a half. While Mollly catches on quickly to new concepts or ideas, it takes Myles a bit longer to really grasp something new. Well, during drop off Ms. Stacko, their art teacher, waved me over to where she was standing on the sidewalk. With great enthusiasm, she told me that both Mollly and Myles really were very artistic and talented and among the top few in their class with this true artistic strength! I was so proud. She really emphasized how they BOTH just have a passion for drawing and that their drawing is very detailed and very expressive and she is very impressed. I was so proud. It is so nice to have something that they both love to do and that they both do very well. As a mother of twins it is really sad to see the look on the face of the child that is struggling while their sibling, their peer, excels. So, to find this commonality was a Eureka!
So while Molly can read and do math and listen well to directions, Myles can ride a two wheeler and razor and jump off boulders and stair dive really well; and together they both make gorgeous art work.
Their teacher emailed me the postcards that they made last week that will be displayed in the Hera Art Gallery in Wakefield, RI.
